- The intent of the project is to hire a specialty firing range consultant to review the existing OPP Uhthoff firing range and provide Guidelines for range design (Location and layout, Backstop and Berms, Target Placement, Safety Barriers and Fencing), and maintenance (Regular inspections, Target and Backstop Maintenance. Cleaning and Debris Removal, Safety Features, Erosion Control, Vegetation Management & Seasonal Maintenance. Training and Education, Range Rules and Safe Practices). The scope should not be limited to the description above, Consultant should include additional component for both design and maintenance that can create a safe and functional outdoor fire range that meet the needs of users and adheres to regulatory standards.
